Make a substantial post in which you discuss and respond to Martin Luther King’s ” A Letter from a Birmingham Jail.” What is the author doing? How does he do it? Please review the lecture “Analyzing a Writer’s Style” and apply this to King’s letter. What stands out for you? What strategies are most effective? Be specific and concrete.

Refer specifically to the text (using APA citations when appropriate). Then, respond significantly to your classmates’ postings on 2 different days for full points (You’ll need only 3 substantial posts in total this week for full credit). Please make every effort not to repeat the same quotations used by your classmates who have posted earlier. Instead, extend the discussion beyond what each posting says. This is a long enough piece where everyone has plenty of unexamined territory to explore. Also, you do not need to summarize this reading at all – we are all reading the same ones. So, analysis, evaluation and synthesis are required – key features of college-level writing. I also want to see the reference listed properly on your initial posting.
