Week 2 DQ3 – influencing

There are many influences over our choices as consumers including culture, social class, family, perceptions and personality.  As a “marketer” we are trying to influence the buyer’s decision making process and put our product in front of them in a way that hopefully generates a need recognition for our product.  Where in this decision making process or among the major factors that contribute to who we are as consumers, could a “marketer” exhibit the most influence?

 

Week 2 DQ3 – the store

The first is a need recognition, the second is information search (where would you look to make a decision?), the third is alternative evaluations, the fourth is purchase decisions, and the fifth is post purchase behavior.  At which step(s) do you think a store could exert the most influence?  Where might the look and feel of a store come in to play as an influencer?
